Construction and Materials
Allweather Wood Products specializes in providing high-quality treated lumber solutions designed for durability and longevity. Their products are engineered to withstand the elements, making them ideal for a wide range of outdoor applications.
The core of Allweather Wood's offerings lies in the treatment process applied to their lumber. This process involves pressure treating lumber with preservatives that protect it from decay, fungi, and insect attacks. This ensures that the wood remains structurally sound and aesthetically pleasing even when exposed to moisture and environmental stressors.
The materials used are primarily sustainably sourced lumber, which is then subjected to their proprietary treatment methods. While specific wood species may vary depending on the application and availability, the emphasis is always on selecting wood that will benefit most from the pressure treatment.
Construction details focus on the penetration and distribution of the wood preservatives throughout the lumber. This is achieved through advanced pressure treating techniques that force the treating solutions deep into the wood fibers. This deep penetration is crucial for providing a comprehensive and long-lasting protective barrier.

Product Summary
BB&S treated lumber products provide long term protection against rot, decay and termite damage in above ground, ground contact, and fresh water applications. The pressure treated lumber is ideal for decks, fencing, and all kinds of outdoor building needs.
Treated lumber is a strong, durable wood which weathers to a warm, brown color and has a beautiful finish that can be painted, stained or left to weather naturally. It is both lighter and stronger than plastic alternatives.
Construction and Materials
BB&S Lumber offers a range of treated lumber products designed for durability and resistance to decay and insect damage. The construction of these products involves pressure treatment processes that imbue the wood with protective chemicals.
The primary materials used are wood species suitable for pressure treatment. While specific wood types may vary based on product availability and intended application, common choices for treated lumber include:
- Southern Yellow Pine: Known for its strength and ability to accept preservatives effectively, making it a popular choice for structural applications.
- Douglas Fir: Another strong and durable wood that is also well-suited for pressure treatment.
The construction process involves introducing preservatives deep into the wood structure under pressure. This ensures comprehensive protection against common threats such as:
- Fungal Decay: Prevents rot and degradation caused by moisture and microorganisms.
- Insect Infestation: Protects against termites, carpenter ants, and other wood-boring insects.
The specific chemicals and treatment levels vary depending on the intended use of the lumber, such as whether it will be in ground contact, exposed to fresh water, or used in above-ground applications. This tailored approach ensures optimal performance and longevity for each product.
BB&S Lumber's treated lumber is engineered for a variety of applications, including:
- Decking
- Fencing
- Framing
- Patios
- Retaining Walls
- Other outdoor construction projects
The inherent properties of the treated wood, combined with the thorough treatment process, result in a product that offers extended service life and reduced maintenance requirements compared to untreated lumber.
